I’m a gigantic fan of KidRobot, and the whole concept of their Munny and Dunny toys.  Probably because I’ve always been fascinated by where “fine” art, design, and commodity intersect.  Plus, it’s a freaking’ toy!  There’s something about the raw black and white version that I love for the same reasons I love the sculptural, textural simplicity of contemporary ceramics that I freak out over on Etsy.  (I’m a complete Etsy fiend, be advised.) I tested out the macro lense my girlfriend got me on the Munny I picked up a few weeks ago.

But in the same way that Diane Von Furstenberg has created fifty zillion awesome wrap dresses out of the same silouhette, and every drag queen has her own I Will Survive, the Munny and Dunny are captivating for their limitless interpretations.

Like this sucker.

While searching my hard drive to figure out where I saved these photos, I found this video.  It made me happy in my toy-loving, plant-loving, girlie bits.
